Below is a typical termite tube we found recently on a home exterior, seen next to last weeks inside wall termite damage picture.
The termites build this hollow mud tube about the size of a pencil from the ground up to the home’s siding. If you see one of these tubes around your foundation, get a termite inspection to verify and treat as needed.
*Tip: Make sure it’s not just a fire ant mound as they can look similar but fall apart easily as compared to a more rigid termite mud tube, and you should see plenty of ants as well if it’s active.
